GIANT FLORIDA CANE SPIDER HETEROPODA VENATORIA | Cane spider belongs to Heteropoda Venatoria species of spider family namely Spaarassidae.The common names are cane spider and crab spider.Giant Florida cane spider can be found in tropical regions mostly subtropical regions.

Cane spider can be found in Florida Hawaiian islands and as name of cane spider suggests ,this spider species mostly lives in cane fields.Cane spider has other name as large brown spider,it has size of tuna fish.

Cane spider habitats:

Cane spiders live in houses and it is said it is beneficial for your household security from insects as cane spider feeds on them.The courtries where cane spider lives in Florida,Georgia,Alabama,California,Louisiana,Caribian,Southeast Asia,Australia.They live in under bark and tree holes.They prefer to live in hot places and avoid cold places.
Cane spider food:
It mostly feeds on cockroaches and silverfish and house insects and most interesting thing about cane spider does not spin for web at night but cane spiders hunts for food at night.

cane spider prefer to run better thant to bite anyone.Spider bite is not so much venomous and deadly one.

Does cane spider’s bite venomous ,no it is observed that they mostly do not bite ,actually they are defenders of themselves and prefer to run away than to bite and if they bite,just nominal effects appear.
Cane spider body ,size and appearance :
cane spider has brown body ranging from 2.0 to 2.5 cm ,cane spider has wide body of 7 to 10 cm including legs.female spider have larger body than male one.cane spider has yellowish or creamy area around their eyes.they have black dots marked legs and body is not hairy one.They are hairy beasts and they have 7 legs instead of 8 leg was lost in battle with cat.
Cane spider eggs:
cane spider does build web and eggs are carried by mother in her mouth upto 1 month during which she does not eat and protects her children.

It is known by different names like brown spider,banana spiders,giant spiders,crab spiders,large spiders,brown spiders.Interesting thing they have come into us shipments from Central America.

Can spider reproduction and life :
They live for 2 years when babies emerge from eggs ,their color is pale and eggs sac consists of 200 eggs after male and female mating ,the weight of eggs sac is much weightsome that cause female one to be immovable. When eggs are torn ,female stay with them for many weaks after eggs are hatched.In other words,when cane spider was experimented,it is observed that the life span of the male averaged 465 days, and that of the female was 580 days.
